SIMULATING BADMINTON
The app produces court position indicator sequences for the user so that he/she can practice their footwork. Effectively, the app simulates actual badminton game situations but allows the user to control the speed and biases.
FOOTWORK SEQUENCES
Footwork sequences produced by LB are random but contain biases that simulate actual badminton play. These biases can be adjusted by the user to focus on certain corners for training purposes. For example, the bias can be altered so that only the front two corners are utilized.

LB includes time delays (between each hit) that reflect real badminton play. This delay can be adjusted by the user to suit their own style or skill level. LB also provides feedback for the time delay so that the user can judge if they are moving at the correct speed toward the indicated position. Time delays are based on the original position, target position and type of shot (eg: drop, clear, etc).
LB contains a hit and rally counter that allows the user to track the length of their exercise. LB allows the user to change the number of hits they desire for each rally. When a stroke counter reaches the predetermined set number, the rally will stop.
LB shows a target position for each hit, so that the user is aware of the adjustments they should make. Mainly, this will facilitate the user’s base position and the time delay before the next move. LB indicates the timing of the split step so that the user can prepare (hop/split step) just prior to the appearance of the next footwork square (which represents an opponent hitting the shuttle).

Each person will have a different experience with LB. However, in general, if you use LB correctly, you may expect improvement in the following:
• Acceleration to the corners
• Footwork timing and rhythm, using the split step
• Ability to maintain speed throughout long rallies
In the Free version, the training program is set to 6 corners and the speed at medium. You have the option to select the length of rally up to 25 hits. The Pro version allows you to customize your training program even more by giving you the option to change the speed, select the length of rally up to 250 hits, and choose from 4 training programs.
When LB is running a long rally, there is no screen touch for a substantial period of time. The screen saver or power save mode will kick in after a set amount of time with no activity, depending on your settings. Change your settings so that your device does not enter screen saver mode during your workout. You may wish to reset your device settings back to its regular power saving mode to conserve battery during regular use.
